At 7eye, two distinct solutions are offered to dry eye sufferers, depending on the severity of their symptoms or the environment the eyewear is needed for.

Mild dry eye

People with mild dry eye symptoms can benefit from our SPF75 models.

Severe dry eye

People with more severe dry eye symptoms may prefer the more complete protection of a SPF100 frame.

Mild dry eye

AirDam

The thermoplastic rubber AirDam that lines the perimeter of the inside of the frame of the SPF75 models breaks up wind flow before it can reach your eye, just like the small wind barrier that pops up when you open a car’s sun roof. The AirDam is about 75% effective in knocking down wind and blocking out peripheral glare. The AirDam won’t absorb water, sunscreen or make-up and can be cleaned with the same soapy water you’d use to clean your lenses.

The design of SPF75 models allow some venting between the frame and the face, yet they are still so close-fitting that many people prefer the filt and sealing characteristics of SPF75 models over the flagship SPF100 series.

The contoured surface of the AirDam sits comfortably on the skin, knocking down about 75% of the wind and glare that can impair your vision and make your eyes miserable. Made from thermoplastic rubber, the AirDam won’t irritate sknin and is virtually indestructible.

AirShield

The technology that makes 7eye the superior eyewear solution for dry eye sufferers is the patented, non air-permeable AirShield seal. It consists of a removable, multi-material eyecup that fills the space between the frame front and the wearer’s face, effectively blocking wind, glare and irritants out while trapping moisture in. Filtered vents manage airflow within AirShield and help keep your prescription lenses clear.

7eye’s patented AirShield not only protects your eyes from harsh irritants and harmful peripheral glare, it also traps humidity inside the eyecup, maximizing the therapeutic benefits of eye drops.

AirShield is removable for those occasions when full protection isn’t required, or to replace a damaged or worn part. Instructions on how to easily remove and re-attach AirShield are provided in the box.

To ensure healthy air flow around the eye, foam-lined vents allow filtered air to circulate inside AirShield. No other eyewear offers this exclusive, patented protection from harmful airborne irritants and allergens.
